Patriotic exchange

Today I received my Patriotic exchange from Eri. She spoiled me. So much and many different things. Then while I was taking the pictures SuzyQ just had to investigate the box. I wouldn't let her on the table with all the pretties so she got in the box and sat and watched them while I took pictures.

Baby bib for Online Angels

Yesterday I was crocheting. I made this bib for Online Angels a charity that I have made things for ever since they started. Here is the pattern. It is the Basic Bib by Priscilla Hewitt Copyright© 2001. I used Peaches & Creme 100% cotton yarn. Color 205 Gumdrop. I will probably make some more as it was a quick easy stitch and I do have more of the cotton yarn in different colors.

WIPs

This is what I am working on today. It is a bookmark on 14ct vinyl weave with red and blue mystery threads. The vinyl weave is some that I got at a garage sale last summer. Pattern is a freebie by Ink Circles the "June Celtic Knot Bookmark" from 2006. I omitted the 41 stitch segment in the center to make it shorter. Have been working on this when I wanted a change from my exchange items. It is small enough that it is in the bag that I grab for travel. One of the Yahoo lists that I read was talking about the back of their projects so the second picture is the back of this one. As for how I make the stitches it depends on the patterns This one combines both styles to make the pattern. I do like how it is coming along.

Scissor Fob exchange

I received my fob from Cameo a couple of days ago and I finally got around to taking pictures of it. She also sent me a pack of Dragon note cards. So without further ado here are the pictures.

My first scissor fob

I got my first scissor fob made. It is for an exchange on the "bbinteractive" Yahoo group. I hope she likes it as I never made one before. It is a free pattern from The Floss Box . It was on the minibiscornu 2 page. I didn’t make it into a biscornu as I will do my first one of those as a full size not a mini. Here is a scan of it.

This and That

Not much going on here. Today is our anniversary. 42 years. Doesn't seem like that long. Not doing anything today to celebrate but we are going out this weekend to celebrate. Going to a dance that is having a 50's theme. Will be fun.

Lets see craft wise have been doing some 7" granny squares for an exchange. April was pastel colors. May is spring flower colors. I have 3 of the May ones done. Also have a few small xstitch kits that I work on when I want a change. And last Hubby wants me to knit him a sweater. We will see as I have never learned. Bought a learn to knit kit that has needles and several other accesssories and a book and we will see what happens. Also been Goodsearching for learner sites with videos. Have figured out one method of casting on but when I try 2 needles I just get lost. Guess I will just have to keep trying.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!!

We won!. Normally we don’t watch basketball but this year for some reason we got hooked. The first we watched was earlier in the series. KSU and KU were both still in the playoffs. We watched KSU get beat. Then we got to watching KU and they went all the way. It is nice that Kansas get recognized for something.

Hi everyone

Boy has it been awhile since I was on here. I just noticed a comment from last July. Bad me not paying any attention. At least I know that this does get looked at occassionally.

I have been doing some stitching but not as much as I wanted. I have picked up quite a few books, patterns and kits at garage sales and on eBay this summer. I need to go thru my stuff and list some that I need to get rid of. Especially the plastic canvas patterns as I have tons of patterns and there are so many that I know I will never do. Also I do have some duplicates that were either in auctions that I won or that I didn't realize that I had till I got home and went to file them.


Well I better go as it is getting late.
